A number of them are picture books that they will probably be familiar with hence making it easier for them to read and will finish in one sitting, providing satisfaction. Wangari’s Trees of Peace: A True Story from Africa by Jeanette Winter

Wangari was surrounded by trees as she grew up in a village in Kenya. Sadly when she comes back as an adult the number of trees have decreased drastically. She has a small plan which becomes much bigger. Wangari went on to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
