Books to Read fro 9 – 11 Year Olds

The books in this section have been selected for 9 – 11 year olds and  will require several sessions to read.  Titles in this section have been chosen keeping current issues in mind that young children or their friends would be dealing with or hear in the news – stories are a great way to explain these intricate issues and develop sympathy and empathy for those involved.  There are also titles that have been loved across generations that take children into a magical world of ‘pretend’.
